It's lighter than the 912.
It has fewer moving parts, i.e. no reduction drive (which needs periodic overhaul).
Oil cooler not necessary where you are.
No radiator to mess with.
Single carburator so you don't have to balance them.
Oil changes are a snap.
Cabin/carb heat easily set up with a heat muff and scat tubes.
A lot less plumbing than the 912. (another weight advantage)
If an engine can be called "pretty" the Jabiru is it!
