A friend of mine took a 12 gallon fuel tank for an outboard boat (it cost about $45.00) attached an electric fuel pump, which he uses to transfer the fuel from the AUX tank to the Main Tank. The tank sits on the rear seat and is held in place by a combination of seat belt and additional straps, this allows the tank to be removed and replaced at his discretion.
He uses a system of lines to connect the AUX Tank to the main tank, he uses a cut off valve near the front seat, and the switch for the transfer pump is also located near the front seat.
Since he can see the fuel level of the MAIN Tank, he knows that the fuel is being transferred, and knows when to start and/or stop the transfer. This system has worked better than the other methods he has tried.
The system works real well and he has made several cross country trips using this set-up.

Hi all,
Kimberly is working with me to add an extra gas tank in the back seat in my tornado 2s. I guess I should not say in the back seat, but rather in place of the back seat. Anyone have an auxiliary tank they don't use and want to sell? Do any of you have pictures of an auxiliary tank that you've installed so I can see some details and ideas? How about where you purchased your tank or is there someone/business out there that already has done a tank for tornado 2s so would have the design/dimensions already in place? Any things you would do/not do if you could do it again.
I'd love any ideas or thoughts from those of you that have already done this. Thanks
claudia
