As part of this project, I decided to move the battery from under the pilot's seat (which was a prior project) closer to the front of the aircraft.
I hit upon what I thought was a brilliant idea to put the battery between the rudder pedals which required spreading them slightly by installing some spacers and a longer pivot tube. That worked great.
In doing all of this with the nose cone removed, I didn't take into consideration that my toes would now be very close to the top of the nose cone, actually rubbing slightly during full rudder deflection. This isn't a big deal in flight but makes tight turns on the ground a bit tricky.
Does anyone know if the two-place nose cone will fit on a single place and if that would provide some more clearance? Is there a better idea?
Thanks,
RJR
