Re: [Titanaircraft] Re: Airport Homes in NC, SC or GA?

Hey Mark, I guess I opened your emails in the wrong order. It is going to be a beatiful airpark and his vision is to make it a destination airport like no other. Lot sizes are 125' W x 280' D and you can have a hanger up to 44' x 44' on your lot if you like. The property is lighted wooded and he wants to keep a row of trees between the houses on the front of the lot and the hangers in the rear. There are only 12 lots available and he has letters of intent on three of those. Pricing is set right now at $47,500.00 for T hangars, $65,000.00 for 36' x 44' square hangars and $100,000.00 for lots. Total T hangars 36, total square hangars 36. T hangars will be 42' wide and 36' deep at the tail portion (not your typical bang your head on the wing or sucking in your gut to move around. There will be a total of 6 buildings with 12 hangars in each.). Monthly dues to cover insurance and maintenance are projected to be $25.00 per hangar and $50.00 per
lot. All owners will receive a discount on fuel and shop/ap rates and fuel. Personally I can't wait as I've picked out my lot already. Tim

That sounds like an interesting one. Do any of the homes also have hangers, or must you own a hangar on the airport?

I lived in Hudson for a summer almost 30 years ago in my drag racing days. I still remember the dragstrip up top of the ridge, with the uphill shutoff area. What a blast that was! And good old Shuffletown and Moorseville.

Thanks!

Mark

My home airport is NC27  which is a grass strip about 3000 fot long and at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  The elevationis 1200 ft msl..I belong to Lenoir Aviation Club, which has about 125 members,  we have our own gas, club house, the land is own by the club and our dues for membership is $200.00 per year..We just had our 50th year in existence,  we have about 70  hangars on the field..It is classified as a private non-profit club with the state, also you have to apply and be voted in to gain membership by the club. AS a LAC member , you do not own the land ,, its owned by the club, You can buy an existing hangar or build your own..There is  a new housing development that is agencent to the airport that are building and  selling homes  that are in the $150 to 250 thousand dollar  range  with acces to the airport.  Also,  I have

We are looking looking at North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. We would prefer to not be around Atlanta, as those hot humid summers are just brutal there. One area we are looking at is the Blue Ridge Mountains area to get a little altitude for cooler temps.
