Last I talked to a Rotax dealer (lockwood), which was about 6 mos ago, they said Rotax was only threatening to discontinue them and hadn't said one way or the other whether they were going to.

And even if they did they were going to continue parts support for something like 10 years afterwards.

But if they do discontinue them, I'm going to buy a 503 whether I have a plane for it or not just to have one of the last ones ;)
