RE: [Titanaircraft] D cell construction

The D Cell is factory formed with foam ribs bonded to the aluminum skin and
spar cap. The spar is constructed with aluminum angle which is doubled for
11 feet (and tripled for 7 feet on the 150VNE) bonded to the spar cap sheet
with V hat sections between ribs for torsional strength. At the factory,
they have a jig where the D cell bonding is performed. They have a 20',
23-1/2' and 26' wing option. The 150VNE wing also uses extruded aluminum
hinges where the 120VNE wing uses rolled aluminum hinges.

Subject: [Titanaircraft] D cell construction

Can anyone tell me what is inside the wing D cell. I am interested in
the spar construction, what the web is made of and what is used for the spar
caps. How do they get the foam and leading edge together? What is the
difference in the spar between the 20 ft and 24 ft wing
and what is added for the high VNE option?

Mike
