Re: [Titanaircraft] - Carb Heat / Carb Ice

I've experienced carb ice with both Jabiru and Rotax. Once with conventional carb heat on the Jabiru, but defeated it with a long series of low power manuevers followed by simulated engine out in conditions I'd never flown in, except the examiner ordered the flight that day. Another was without carb heat in the Jabiru, and the other 4 times in one flight and one more time on another flight were in a Rotax 912-powered craft. All were on days I was expecting it.

I can't answer your electrical issue, but I am wondering if you use any carb heat system and/if you experience and carb icing.
