Re: [Titanaircraft] Have a question....

Well, mushing through the air probably couldn't be much more vague. Do you mean the controls are sluggish or slow to respond, it slips or slides in yaw? You are flying it at least faster than 2X stall speed while making the assessment, right? Lowering the nose to correct the problem is a good indicator that the plane is overweight, underpowered, rigged improperly, or you're just flying it slow, which would require a nose-high attitude to hold altitude. The controls on any aircraft become more responsive the faster you go. That's why many modern large aircraft and fighters with electronic flight controls use variable ratio controls. The faster they go, the less control input is fed to the control surface for the same movement in the cockpit. If I recall, some mechanical flight systems implement control limits that engage at high speed.

Subject: [Titanaircraft] Have a question....

My question is I have a Titan 2 and when there's a passenger with me it feels like we're mushing through the air. I lower the nose and we're fine, I have a friend with the same aircraft he has elevator extensions and does not have th problem I have. Any ideas?
