[Titanaircraft] 912 series TBO extension

Just FYI, the new SB (SB-912-057) extending the TBO of the 912 series to 2000 hrs/15 years has just been issued. It's up on rotax-owner.com.

Unfortunately, mine doesn't qualify because it's outside the serial no. range. Mine's affected by SB-912-029, which would require a new crankcase (a euphemism for new engine really ;)). I didn't know it was affected by that, so I put this into my "special inspections" list in my logbook this morning. You other 912 owners might want to check to see if you're affected by this, as it's one of the disqualifiers for the raised TBO.

But at 2000 hours/15 years, the 912 series has dropped back into the good deal range. At least, for the time being until the price creeps back up to knock it out again.
