Subject: [Titanaircraft] Re: weldment cracking that holds rudder shaft into boom tube
No crack found. I had a tester come out today and they did a DPI (dye penetration inspection test) also known as a liquid penetration test done and the result was no crack found. Not sure why the paint cracked in that spot but I guess there is enough flexing to cause the paint to crack.

I have no idea how to prove if this is cosmetic or if the weld is tearing from the top of the boom tube, nor do I have any idea to repair such a thing.
