Re: [Titanaircraft] Re: SLSA for IFR?

LS

Aha you are so right and it can become one of those 30 or so hanger queens at our airport that maybe get flown only when the owner needs his bi-annual or when the plane needs an annual because in truth few can afford to fly and maintain them. I know of plenty of Comanche's and Arrows that are for sale right now because the pilots cannot afford to fly them and have lost interest. In fact, one ARROW at our airport was just taken over by the bank last week. The bank sold it for $50,000 just half of what was owed on it.

I thought the idea was to have something you could afford to fly with the possibility of IFR just as a safety measure.

PS: For example:

Instead of an SLSA, you could buy this and use the other 60 grand for flying it. The Arrow is a superb IFR platform you could fly all over the country on the guages.....

There's just no sane reason to consider an SLSA for IFR ops given the alternative choices......
