[Titanaircraft] Re: Titan II w/ Jab 3300?

All fo the Tornado 2-seaters, whether a D, S or SS are rated at +6/-4 at 1000lbs. I have asked Guy Truex in the past to calculate the ratings at higher gross weights, and have come up with +5/-3.3 at 1200 lbs and better than +4/-2 at 1320lbs.

Those are better than the ratings for standard aircraft.

As for the mounts, all of the 2-seaters with the doubled rear wing mounts will work fine with the Jabirus. By doubled I mean they have welded two of the triangle shaped mount plates together to strengthen the rear wings mounts on Tornados from about 1997 and up. If yours doesn't have it, you wuld want to retro-fit it before mounting Jabirus or 912-series Rotaxes.

It will cruise nicely beyond 14,500' (I can't say how much beyond here) with the 23-1/2 wing, but the 26' is nicer for climbing way up high if you do it regularly when loaded to gross.
