Isn't the port side, the left? Phil, the aileron linkage actually goes to the starboard side (right side) directly off the aft control stick weldment under the front of the rear seat via a rod with ball ends on both the 2S and slightly aft of the front edge of the seat on the 2SS. It then transmits a twisting force via torque rod parallel to the fuselage to behind the rear seat, then uses a control arm on the end of the torque rod to transmit the force vertically.

We don't want you to get lost in here. :-)
