According to the Jabriu People, the Jabriu 3300 weights 185 lbs complete. I think that is about 40-50 lbs more than the 2200, which is about 1 lb for each additional Horsepower (35 more).
A friend of mine has a Titan Tornado 2S with a Jabriu 3300 and it flies great. With him and me he is carrying almost 400 lbs, and the aircraft gets off the Turf runway in about 500 ft.
I am also building a Titan Tornado 2S, and will put a Jabriu 3300 engine on it, No, you don't need that much power, but it sure is nice to have if/when you need it.
With only one person in the a/c, and the 23.5 ft wing, I don't believe that you will have any problem.

I'm drooling over the TitanII w/ Jab 3300 for sale in Cali. Obviously, it's going to burn more fuel, but is a 3300 too much weight/power for a TitanII?
Researching this site, I see mention of 1,000lb gross aerobatic, 1,200lb utility. I assume this Titan weighs around 700lbs. Is that a realistic 500lbs to play with?
thx,
Brian
