RE: [Titanaircraft] Doors off

I'd say that's another no in my book. I used to take one door off my CGS
Hawk 2 seat so jumpers could bail out the back, but found it created some
bad turbulence in the cabin. Taking both doors off worked a lot better.
It's just not designed for that. I also build with the gull wing door in
the rear...sure makes getting in and out a lot easier.

There are plans in the book for a nice size camera window that could be
constructed. I actually find my photos even through tinted Lexan come out
quite nicely. Takes some work getting the right angles to avoid any
reflection. Wearing dark clothes helps a lot.

I also wanted to ask this question, but only the back door?

Kimberly you know I've got the back door that open to the under side of the
wing.

I can remove that door and the front door will be secure and locked with no
danger of

opening in flight. I want to take photos from the back without that door.
Obviously will I keep the speed

as low as possible. Will this be OK?

Regards

Div

No -- and never attempt it. Why would you want to take the doors off on a
Titan anyway? If you want to be out in the breeze, it's not the airplane for
you.

Has anyone flown a Titan (2, or 2S) with the doors off? I know it would
increase drag a great deal and thereby cause a deterioration in performance.
I hear so many pilots of many different planes speak of missing the more
open feel of planes like the Challenger. Trying to decide on best fit for
myself.
