In the 3 yrs I flew mine before I sold it a couple weeks ago,
I never banged the tail wheel on landing, with the exception that
on occasion while rolling out on the mains .. I'd toy with it just
to hear it spin up back there. (I'm easily entertained)

The key for me was a consistent touchdown attitude with the
proper airspeed and some flaps to reduce the nose high
attitude. I did power off ones occasionally just to stay
proficient with them.
