2) steel tail rivets. I wonk my tail wheel pretty hard every now and
then. Unless it's grass and unless I hit it hard enough to dig a furrow,
it stays on. It's never come off on pavement, and I do my share of
tailwheel-first landings.
3) smaller tailwheel. I traded the factory original shopping cart wheel
for a rollerbalde wheel with real bearings. Less drag = less likely to rip.
