Yes, the bowl vent is routed back to the air filter.
It seems to me at some point there was an update to the carb (different needle and jet) Maybe thats what I need?

Every Jabiru we've seen with a Sensenich wood prop is loaded too heavily with the wide blades, causing the the carb to run rich, which happens with the Bing altitude compensating carbs used on Rotax and Jabiru. We've also found that almost no one makes jetting changes to their carb after the initial engine installation. Many people also forget or don't know to route the carburetor bowl vent into the back of the air filter, which also makes the carburetor run too rich. In these cases, the rings can get carbon fowled and stick them to the piston grooves, causing a progressive loss in compression, which can cause serious losses in power in any engine. The EGT's should be upwards of 1250F at full throttle, and 1320-1350F at cruise.

The cylinders are covered with the standard (I think) plenum, there is no BRS, and Im flying in MN. Im wondering if Jabiru has more than one plenum design for pusher configurations? Maybe there is just poor air flow over the wing? Anyone else have this problem?
