Re: [Titanaircraft] Re: Vibration on rollout after landing

Hey Gene, while you have those wheels off getting them balanced take a look at those axles....You can remove them easily and roll them on a flat surface or eyeball them, if they're not straight you'll see it.. I don't know if it's your problem or not, but I wish I'd have started there....could've saved some cash...Tim T.

If it's before the nose touches, you're spot-on.  The cheesy wobbly drum brakes often came with cheesy 3-spoke cast wheels to match.  However, for the time being, I'd still definitely balance the tires and wheels to get you by until you decide what to do.

Kimberly,

The shaking begins before the nose wheel touches the ground.
It must be the crummy drum brakes and cheap tires.

Applying the brakes creates more down force on the front wheel, which will make the shaking feel like it's going to buck you out of the cockpit, or tear off the the nose or the fuselage from the wing. If that's the problem, visit our web site for drawings to stop that. http://motionaero. com/Gallery- Gadgets.html

Something to do on any aircraft is to tap the brakes lightly after takeoff to stop the wheels from spinning.
